🔎 Day 80 – Use “Candidate Referrals from Non-Selected Applicants”

Many recruiters overlook that candidates who weren’t selected can still be powerful allies in sourcing.

If someone wasn’t the right fit for a role but had a positive experience during the process, they’re often open to referring friends or ex-colleagues.

✅ After sending a polite not-selected mail, add a line like:
“Although this role didn’t work out, if you know someone in your network who might be a great fit, feel free to connect us.”

This way, you turn a closed door into a new sourcing opportunity—often leading to high-quality, warm leads since referrals usually come from the same industry or skill pool.
