Tip 66: Use Boolean search with “Current Title” filters for precision
When sourcing on platforms like LinkedIn or job boards, don’t just rely on broad keywords.
Many candidates may list past roles or certifications that clutter results. Instead, pair Boolean search with “Current Title” filters to narrow down to professionals actively working in the role you want.
🔍 Example: Instead of searching for (“Sales Manager” OR “Business Development Manager”), add the filter Current Title = Sales Manager. This removes ex-employees or candidates who only mentioned the role in past experience.
✅ Why it works:
Saves time by avoiding irrelevant profiles.
Targets candidates actively holding the role now.
Boosts outreach response since skills are fresh and updated.
⚠️ Small caution: Sometimes candidates don’t update their current title—so cross-check profiles before reaching out.
